According to
Jashemski, this house was one of many which, after the introduction of the
aqueduct, had a fountain in the atrium.
Between the two table
supports that stood at the edge of the impluvium there was a round opening which
contained the bronze key.
This controlled the
jet in the middle of the impluvium.
