Bombed 1943. Reconstructed 1947. Closed 1976.

Including the Larario dei Pompeianisti which was opened in 1948.

Restoration commenced July 2009. No opening date is yet known.

The Larario was inaugurated 13th June 1948 with the busts of Fiorelli, Ruggiero and Mau there.

Forum. 1910. Bust of Giuseppi Fiorelli, now in the Larario dei Pompeianisti. Photo courtesy of Ross Turner. The bronze bust of Fiorelli was erected in the Forum at Pompeii in 1895, a year before his death. The inscription on the front of the pedestal reads:

          IOSEPHO FIORELLI
DE ANTIQVITA TIBUS POMPEIANIS
            OPTIME MERITO
       EX PVBLICO DECRETO
          CIVES VIVENTI CIVI
             POSVERVNT
              MDCCCXCV

The bronze bust of Fiorelli was erected in the Forum at Pompeii in 1895, a year before his death. 

The inscription on the front of the pedestal reads:
