VII.4.2 Pompeii. December 2007. Boundary marker made of volcanic tufa between Temple of Fortuna Augusta and the Area Privata of M. Tullius, discovered 26th October 1823. The inscription read: M(arci) Tulli M(arci) f(ilii) area privata [CIL X 821] This translates as - “Private land of Marcus Tullius, son of Marcus”.

Boundary marker made of volcanic tufa between Temple of Fortuna Augusta and the Area Privata of M. Tullius, discovered 26th October 1823.

The inscription read:

M(arci)  Tulli  M(arci)  f(ilii)

area privata     [CIL X 821]

This translates as - “Private land of Marcus Tullius, son of Marcus”.
