According to Jashemski, when excavated in 1809 the
peristyle area was found in a ruined state.
Today, the columns on the north and south are joined by a
low wall which has a planting space on top.
The low wall on the east side has been restored without a
planting space.
The entire house was found in such a ruined state it was
nearly impossible to know how the rooms were connected.
