According to Jashemski, in the light-well or small garden at the rear of the atrium, was a small raised flower bed.

In the bed was a tiny semicircular pool, which was fed by roof water.

There were three marble bases which were probably placed at the edge of the pool.

On the south wall behind the small garden was a garden painting.

The doorway to a cubiculum can be seen at the rear.

According to Peters, on the left of the west wall was a well-preserved (in 1963) landscape.

He considered the painting very picturesque.

The subject was a temple with a curved roof, standing on a hill against which a tree was growing.

The approximate area of the painting can be seen in the south-west corner, in the upper part of the photo, left of centre.
